fundamentals for fat loss

There’s an overwhelming amount of information out there in the fitness industry….

“Do these exercises to shed belly fat….” There

Which is why I’ve composed this simple post for you to read through and save for your journey.

These are without a doubt 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐅𝐔N𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐒.

Without these basics nailed consistently you won’t be seeing those results you’re dreaming about all the time.

- No need to 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓 yourself of certain food groups.

- There is no 𝐍𝐎.1 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝗼 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐛𝗼𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐭! 

- No 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

Here’s all you need for successful transformation:

1) Daily Steps - 8-10K steps a day is a great starting point for most people to just move a little more than usual, burn some extra calories and get outside for some fresh air, stress relief and be with your own thoughts.

2) Strength training - 3-6 gym workouts a week will help you build, which has many health benefits like higher base metabolism, stronger immune system and when fat loss occurs will help bring about a more defined (toned) shape.

3) 2-3 litres of water daily - I shouldn't have to go over the importance of staying hydrated but it is very common struggle for a lot of people. 2-3 litres would help you stay hydrated, keep bodily functions operating better (Digestion etc) and a great zero calorie addition to your day to surprise your appetite.

4) Protein intake - Trying to aim for around 0.8-1g of protein per lb of your bodyweight would be sufficient in helping with maintaining muscle mass, helping with satiety in meals and recovery.

5) 7-9 hours of sleep - Sleep is where the training takes shape. Where your main recovery happens. But more importantly, your cycle of digestion and hunger kicks in for the following day of eating.

6) Calorie deficit - Ofcourse, the most talked about thing to do with fat loss. None of the above means too much if you are not burning more calories than you’re consuming.

7) KEEP CONSISTENT - Nail these basics day after day, week after week, month after month, I promise you you’ll reach your desired body shape / weight etc
