MEET YOUR COACH - Peter Wright

 My Story

I was once where you were. I wasn’t the fastest, fittest or strongest at all in any distance. I know where you are right now!

I started out by just running as a hobby when I was younger. Didn’t take training that seriously and I only thought about racing as hard as I could in each event, giving it 110% and always striving for a PB.

I didn’t think back then I’d be where I am now. A semi-professional full time middle distance athlete and online running coach.

I wasn’t gifted the sport of running, I’m not a ‘natural runner’ I didn’t even have the means, equipment or the team to make it. I had to work and grind out every session whilst still working around 40,50,60 hour weeks as a PT.

This is how I became an online running coach and created Feel Wright Fitness and the ‘Peak Physical Performance’ program. I wanted to help everyone who has normal, stressful day jobs, night shifts, split shifts but still loves running as a hobby or even wants to take it up more competitively to crush their training week in week out and absolutely boss it come race day.

 

I'VE Not won many races at all. But i never say i’ve lost. I only learn from each experience, this has only helped drive forward and get to where i am right now.

I use my 10+ years running experience of ups, downs and all the in between to make sure you’re on top of everything. I’m coached by an olympic athlete in Eilish McGolgan and having her experience guide me has only improved myself as a runner and coach to guide you better.

Where i’m at now

I’ve been a UKA Athletics Endurance Coach for over 5 years now. Using my running career itself as well as my coaching experience to jumpstart my team’s progress whether they are training for their first 5K, their next 5K PB, all the way to the big marathon events!

Since becoming a PT in 2016 i’ve been building a vast log of transformations with my clients too.

So now with running becoming more and more popular since COVID lockdowns I’ve been helping people with the best of both. A hybrid plan working on crushing your PB’s and looking your absolute best while doing it.

3000m - 9:50

5000m - 16:40

5K - 17:15

10K - 37:00

Half - 1:25

Marathon - 3:02

1 hour - 15.8K
